Provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable trip cost, when you cancel for a covered unforeseen reason.**

Trip Interruption also provides reimbursement for additional transportation costs.

Trip Delay provides coverage if you are delayed during a trip for more than 5 hours.

  • documented weather condition preventing You from getting to the point of departure for Your Trip;

Provides coverage for the emergency purchase of essential items if your Baggage is delayed for more than 12 hours during your trip.

Provides reimbursement for certain eligible expenses due to a covered travel delay.

Provides coverage for the necessary medical and surgical cost if you become sick or accidentally injured while on a trip.

Pre-Existing Condition Waiver The pre-existing medical conditions may be eligible for coverage when:
  • The premium is received within 14 days of initial trip deposit;
  • You insure 100% of the cost of all Travel Arrangements that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions;
  • You are not disabled from travel at the time premium is paid;
  • The booking is your first and only booking for this travel period and destination.

A pre-existing condition exists if a traveler and/or traveling companion has an illness or other condition within 120 days prior to policy effective date in which: the patient received or received a recommendation for a test, examina­tion, or medical treatment or took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.

OUTLINE OF COVERAGE**

Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruptions & Trip Delay 
Provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable trip cost. Trip Interruption also provides reimbursement for additional transportation costs. Trip Delay provides coverage if you are delayed during a trip for more than 5 hours. Some examples of covered reasons include: 
  • Your, a Family Member’s, or a Traveling Companion’s Sickness, accidental injury or death 
  • Being hijacked, quarantined, subpoenaed, or asked to serve on jury duty 
  • Home or destination is made uninhabitable 
  • Traffic accident en route to departure 
  • Terrorist attack 
  • Strike that causes a complete cessation of services for at least 24 hours on the Common Carrier 
  • Inclement Weather that causes a complete cessation of services for at least 24 hours on the Common Carrier 
  • Mechanical breakdown of the aircraft that causes a cancellation or delay for at least 24 consecutive hours 
  • A documented theft of passports or visas 
Missed Flight Connection 
Provides reimbursement if you miss Your Trip departure because Your arrival at Your Trip destination is delayed for 3 or more hours, due to: 
  • any delay of a Common Carrier;

ALLIANZ TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN

Life’s unexpected circumstances can compromise your vacation plans, but they don’t have to compromise your investment. American Queen Steamboat Company has paired with Allianz Global Assistance to offer a travel protection plan to cover yourself and your vacation investment.
Insurance Benefits Coverage Per Person (Up to Limits Below)
Trip Cancellation Coverage Up to 100% of trip cost ($50,000 max.)
Provides reimbursement for prepaid, non-refundable expenses if you must cancel your trip due to a covered reason.
Trip Interruption Coverage Up to 150% of trip cost ($75,000 max.)
Provides reimbursement for the unused, non-refundable portion of your trip and additional transportation costs to return home due to a covered reason.
Emergency Medical/Dental Coverage $50,000 ($750 Dental Coverage max.)
Reimbursement for the cost of treatment associated with a covered medical or dental emergency incurred while traveling. A deductible may apply. Dental sublimit applies.
Emergency Transportation Coverage $250,000
Provides medically necessary transportation to the nearest hospital or appropriate facility
Travel Delay Coverage $750 (Daily max.:$200 with receipts; $100 without receipts) - Minimum Required Delay - 5 hours Provides reimbursement for certain eligible expenses due to a covered travel delay.

Pre-existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver Available
A pre-existing medical condition is an injury, illness or medical condition that exhibited symptoms or was treated on, or within the 120 days prior to, the purchase date of your plan. Your plan includes a waiver of the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions if you meet the requirements listed in your plan (See Plan Details below); otherwise, the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions will apply. Maximum coverage for pre-existing medical conditions is limited to the trip cancellation or trip interruption coverage limit (as applicable), not to exceed $50,000.
